1) VERWENDUNG
1) Geplante Handlungen in der Zukunft, feste Absichten, Pläne:
- Jeremy is going to eat a lot at the new restaurant. = Jeremy wird in dem neuen Restaurant viel essen.
- We are going to fly to South Africa. = Wir werden nach Südafrika fliegen.
2) Wenn in der Umgebung Beweise oder Hinweise existieren, die darauf hindeuten, dass etwas in der Zukunft geschehen wird:
- Look at that red bicycle! It is going to crash into the yellow truck. = Sieh dir mal das rote Fahrrad an! Es wird in den gelben Lastkraftwagen hineinfahren.
2) FORM
Entsprechende Verbformen von “to be” im Präsens (“am/are/is”) + “going to” + Infinitiv
am: mit “I”
is: mit “he/she/it”
are: mit “we/you/they”
3) BILDUNG DER BEJAHTEN / VERNEINTEN SÄTZE UND FRAGEN

Bei verneinten Sätzen wird das Verb “be” verneint (“am not/is not/are not”), alles andere bleibt unverändert:

Oftmals werden Kurzformen verwendet:
He/she/it isn’t going to buy a new luxurious car next week.

4) BESONDERE VERBEN
Bei den Verben “go” und “come” wird häufiger das “Present Continuous” als das “Going to-future” verwendet:
